Tell us about your career history…
After finishing university, I went on to serve eight years in the military as a Royal Marines Commando, deploying around the world on exercises and operations, followed by a short stint at British Gas as an engineer before joining DP Medical.
What’s your job role at DP Medical?
I’m the Southwest territory manager for Hospital Sales.
What does a typical day in your role at DP Medical involve?
Each day is varied, but it can range from meeting potential customers and conducting demonstrations on our wide range of medical equipment, to supporting at exhibitions, courses and conferences.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
The variety! It is very rare that any two days are the same and I get to meet lots of new and interesting people.
What makes DP Medical stand out from the crowd?
The culture. The team are extremely supportive and are always willing to help each other out. There’s an element of friendly competition within the sales team but at the end of the day, everyone works together.
When you’re not at work, what do you get up to in your spare time?
My wife and I have a six-month-old boy, so I love spending time as a family or doing triathlons and going to the gym.
And finally, tell us something not everyone knows about you…
I’m a pretty open book so this was a tough one. I once played rugby in a charity game against World Cup winning captain...Martin Johnson. It did not go well!
