Meet the team: Andreea Goia

Andreea joined DP Medical in December 2024 as a Service Coordinator, having graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with a degree in International Business Management the previous year. We caught up with Andreea to find out how she is finding her new role and learn what makes her tick:

Tell us about your career to date:

I started working as a Service Coordinator/Supervisor during weekends from 2021 to 2023 while at university. Before that, I had a few jobs in cleaning. After graduating, I transitioned into a full-time role at the same company, balancing both the Service Coordinator and Helpdesk Coordinator positions for a few months. I’m excited to bring my experience to my new role and continue developing my skills.

What does your role with DP Medical involve?

I’m based at the Chessington office, where I get to work alongside a fantastic team and contribute to the great work that we do at DP Medical, although I’m still in the process of learning about the role. As a Service Coordinator, I support customers over the phone and email, manage repair exchanges, order parts, and track stock. I also process contracts and handle non-contractual callouts. I’m enjoying the variety and the opportunity to be involved in so many different aspects of the role.

What are you most looking forward to about working at DP Medical?

I’m really looking forward to being part of a company that values its people and focuses on quality and customer satisfaction. The business culture here is one of the things that drew me to DP Medical, and I’m excited to be part of a team that genuinely cares about what we do – and how we do it.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I’m someone who loves to embrace life and stay spontaneous, whether it’s hitting the road for a last-minute trip, exploring nature, going to an exhibition around London, reading, or staying active at the gym. I’m always on the lookout for fun things to do and strive to keep life exciting while staying grounded.

Tell us something not many people may know about you:

I have a serious love-hate relationship with cheese. I absolutely love it, but I’m lactose intolerant. So, I must choose between the joy of eating it and dealing with the consequences. Spoiler alert: cheese usually wins!
