Tell us about your career to date:
This is my 26th year in medical sales. I spent the last 11 years working for Aesculap (BBraun) as their Regional Business Development Manager in the MIS (Minimally Invasive Surgery) Division. Prior to that, I worked for Colgate, then Biomet (before they merged with Zimmer), and then sold larval therapy (live maggots) for two years for a company called Biomonde. I also spent eight years at Johnson & Johnson (JnJ) selling the harmonic scalpel across East Anglia in its energy division.
What does your role with DP Medical involve?
My role is to build a new team that will take all the great products that DP has sold previously in ENT and GYN outpatients into the Theatre environment – great products like VOIS, Trachealator, and Chitogel, alongside our visualisation range from XION, to grow our Theatre division.
What are you most looking forward to about working at DP Medical?
I’m excited to be working with a great company with great people. My excitement comes from the opportunity to build a new surgical team over the next few years that can showcase all the great products we have to offer our customers across the theatre environment.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I’ve been married to Vicky for 22 years and we have two boys, Isaac, who’s 13, and Dillon, 10. I’ve been a passionate Liverpool fan for 46 years and I’m also first team manager of a senior men’s football team called Bacton United 89 – we play at step 7 of the national football pyramid in the Suffolk and Ipswich League.

A long time ago I used to be a manager of a cinema and then a bingo club.
