Meet the team: Marc Brennan

Say hello to Marc, DP Medical's Field Service Engineer (Medical Equipment), based in Southeast London.

Marc covers a wide area for DP Medical, from Ipswich in the east to Brighton along the south coast. We spoke to Marc to find out more about his background and his role within the company:

Tell us a little about your career history:

I have a background in sales and account management within the medical equipment sector, with a strong focus on supplying and supporting care homes. My experience includes managing client relationships, advising on suitable medical equipment such as hoists, beds, and assisted bathing solutions, and ensuring customer needs are met, from initial enquiry through to delivery and ongoing support. I have developed a sound understanding of both commercial and practical aspects of medical equipment used in care environments.

What does your role at DP Medical involve?

My role involves the servicing, repair, and breakdown support of medical equipment, as well as the installation and collection of equipment across my assigned region. I am responsible for ensuring equipment is safe, fully functional, and compliant with required standards. The role also involves travelling across a wide area, responding to service calls efficiently, supporting customers such as care homes, and maintaining a high level of professionalism when representing DP Medical on site.

What’s your favourite part of the job?

What I like most about working for DP Medical is the hands-on nature of my role. I enjoy being trusted to handle repairs, servicing, breakdowns, installations, and equipment collections, knowing that my work directly supports healthcare professionals and patient care. The variety keeps the job interesting, and there’s real satisfaction in fixing problems quickly and ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for use.

When you’re not at work, what do you get up to in your spare time?

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym and swimming. I also value spending quality time with family and friends, and I like thinking about and exploring new business ideas in my spare time.

And finally, tell us something not everyone knows about you…

I do not tell anyone one this, because I do not do it for the thanks or the praise, but once or twice a month I go to my local care homes and read and interact with the elderly residents.
